Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
This website, fidi.today, is operated by Venture Garden OÜ, a private limited company established in Estonia ("we", "us"), publisher of the work of author Chadi Nassar. Venture Garden OÜ is the data controller for the processing described below, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach us at any time at hello@fidi.today.
1. What data we collect, and why
- Email address (and optionally your name) — when you sign up to receive the free first chapter and our occasional newsletter. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the signup form and confirmed through double opt-in. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
- Email engagement data — our email provider records whether emails were delivered, opened, or clicked, so we can stop sending to people who aren't reading. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Technical data — our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request logs as technically necessary to serve the site and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
The challenge box on our homepage ("What have you been meaning to do?") runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type there is stored, transmitted, or seen by us.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels for ads, or sell data to anyone. If we add privacy-friendly visitor analytics in the future, this policy will be updated first.
2. Who processes data on our behalf
- MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Vilnius, Lithuania — EU) — email list management and sending.
- Netlify, Inc. (USA) — website hosting. Transfers outside the EEA are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Namecheap, Inc. (USA) — domain and mailbox services for hello@fidi.today.
3. How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, or until we remove inactive addresses, whichever comes first. When you unsubscribe, sending stops immediately; suppression records may be retained as required to honour your opt-out. Technical logs are retained briefly by our hosting provider per their standard schedule.
4. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@fidi.today — we respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the data protection authority of your EU member state or the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee).
5. Children
This site and newsletter are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
6. Changes
If we change how we handle personal data — for example by adding analytics or a shop — we will update this policy and revise the date at the top before the change takes effect.
